Bathroom Update
23/02/2010
Its been a long time since my last post about the bathroom and it seems like not much has happened. I have been busy on other areas of the house.
The bathroom kinda got to a stage where it was usable so I moved onto different areas which were more important.
Since the last post all the wall painting has been completed. It looks finished now.
The pebbles have been sealed. I used a penetrating sealer which makes the pebbles and grout look dark and wet all the time. It was $110 for 400ml bottle which is insane BUT it has made it look perfect. Also because its a sealer it helps keep the moisture out of the pebbles.
All that is left to do is to
- Paint the bath. I will be using White Night
- Put up some floating shelves
- Paint the door frame and window frame
- Get the shower screen installed. For the shower screen I am actually going with a single pane of glass. There will be no door!
The whole process is taking much longer than I ever expected but the end result is worth it.
