Rain water tank not level

I recently purchased a second hand water tank from a family member. It only took a few weeks before it was full. It was at this stage that I realised that I had not leveled it properly. It had begun leaking from the top and was bulging in the middle from the weight of the water.
Unfortunately I had to empty the whole tank so I can level. It felt like such a waste letting all the water go but it had to be done.
Lesson learned, level the tank properly before connecting it up!
